Dual Language Immersion Programs

The Dual Language Immersion Program (DLI) is available at Washington and Jefferson Elementary school. Participation and enrollment in this alternative program is based on district approval via an application process. Students whose home language is Spanish or English may participate in the DLI program. This program offers academic instruction in both English and Spanish according to the district adopted DLI bilingual matrix. 

Available at Washington in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd ~ Available at Jefferson in Kindergarten - For new students wishing to enter at 1st, 2nd or 3rd grades should have attended a Dual Language Immersion Program previously. To apply to the Dual Language Immersion Program in SLUSD, you must submit this application (click on the application link below) AND follow district procedures for intra/inter district transfers on our website. You will only need to follow the intra/inter district transfer policy if you are not a Washington/Jefferson Elementary/SLUSD resident.
