This is a very exciting time in education with lots of challenges and changes for the better. Never before in the history of education has there been such a dramatic shift in educational technology and assessment at the same time. Even though these changes and challenges were initial driven by the Common Core State Standards and the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC), we look at this as an opportunity to utilize the best technology and assessment in the classroom as well as provide students with the 21st century skills needed to ensure college and career readiness.

Digital learning has a critical role to play in the pursuit of excellence in America's schools. It is poised to revolutionize the way that teachers teach and students learn. Mindful use of Instructional Technology will engage students, help promote 21st century skills and provide teachers with real-time data to guide and inform their instruction.
