What are the Trades and Careers?

  • Are you looking for a job that is hands on and pays well? Does the thought of sitting at a desk for long hours make you want to jump out of your skin?

If you answered yes to both of these questions, then the trades are for you.

There are common misconceptions that the trades do not pay well, the job is dangerous, dirty and that it does not require much skill or education.

This is far from the truth. Today’s jobs in the Trades and Careers call for highly skilled workers that are willing to work hard and get paid well in return.

Types of Careers in the Trades:

  •

All  careers in Trades all focus on hands-on training. These programs tend to be intensely focused on producing employable graduates, so you can expect to spend plenty of time doing real-world work while you learn. In any of these fields, you can get started with a two-year associate degree, or less. You’ll probably bring in a salary comparable to traditional four-year college grads, without taking on four years of student loans.
