          I'm a science geek with a passion for education.  Students can expect to be challenged in my classroom, but they will also be supported.   Biology students are guided to find the study, research, and critical thinking strategies that help them best learn in multiple different dimensions.  A key strategy for learning how to be independent learners is developing a growth mindset: the idea that failure is an expected part of learning, that we learn from our mistakes, and we get better every time we try without giving up. Students are given mulitiple opportunities to revise, revisit, fix, and otherwise try again until they have reached deep understanding of Biology.
