San Leandro Unified School District Releases California State Dashboard Information

California is field testing a new website designed to help communities across the state access important information about K-12 districts and schools. Called the California School Dashboard (https://www.caschooldashboard.org), the site features easy-to-read reports on multiple measures of school success, including test scores, graduation rates, English learner progress and suspension rates. The Dashboard is part of California’s new school accountability system based on 2013’s Local Control Funding Formula. It is the next step in a series of major shifts in public education that have raised the bar for student learning, transformed testing and placed the focus on equity for all students. Inauguration Day 2017

    Dear SLUSD Parents and Families,

As many of us are aware, this year’s Inauguration Day scheduled for Friday, January 20th is anticipated to evoke strong emotional responses across the country, similar to those observed in the days after the election. Despite our own political stances and views, it is critical our community pay close attention to how our youth are feeling as this political transition takes place.

In anticipation, SLUSD wanted to proactively communicate with families about our commitment to student safety and creating safe spaces where students can process the political events, and supporting our students’ voices and their first amendment rights.
