Welcome to the San Leandro Unified School District's Business and Operations Department!  We are here to serve the employees, students, and community of San Leandro. Our goal is to provide friendly and efficient services in all areas overseen by the department.

Dr. Collins began his career in education as a middle school math and science teacher in the Oakland Unified School District.  He then served as a high school vice principal and middle school principal in the east bay.  Most recently, he spent five years as Chief Business Official with the Walnut Creek School District.

He received his bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego and earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership at Saint Mary's College of California.  He also currently serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Mills College teaching a course on school finance.
