Welcome Concert Orchestra
The Concert Orchestra consists of 9th through 12th grade musicians playing string instruments (Violin, Viola, Cello or Bass) and provides an opportunity to refine fundamental skills learned at the middle school level. The ensemble will concentrate on tone development, rhythmic and counting, intonation, and bowing techniques. Throughout the year, the ensemble will be introduced to increasingly difficult repertoire that highlights the fundamental skills learned in rehearsal. Selected musicians will perform along side with Advanced Orchestra at concerts. This ensemble performs at the Fall Concert, District String Festival, Spring Concert and various community events.
