Advanced Orchestra
The Advanced Orchestra is the most advanced string ensemble and plays more challenging and rigorous repertoire (high school-college level). This ensemble consists of 10th-12th grade students. This ensemble is for the most proficient musicians playing a string instrument (Violin, Viola, Cello or Bass) and requires students that are comfortable in a larger range of their instrument (2 1/2 octaves or more) and proficient with mixed meters, intricate rhythms and wider selection of key signatures (4 #/b or more). This ensemble performs at the Fall Concert, District String Festival, Spring Concert and various community events.
