On March 2019, the California State Board of Education (SBE) adopted a revised self-reflection tool for Priority 3 based on current research, state and federal guidance documents, requirements of AB 2878, and recommendations of the ad hoc family engagement workgroup. This self-reflection tool is organized into three sections. Each section includes promising practices in family engagement:
                 

             1. Building Relationships between School Staff and Families
             2. Building Partnerships for Student Outcomes
             3. Seeking Input for Decision-making

This priority ensures that San Leandro USD increases parent engagement by promoting parental participation and involvement in completing the survey.
