    Join the efforts of the San Leandro High School Parent Equity Committee (SLPEC). SLPEC provides a voice and resources for African American, Latino and special needs students; that they may achieve both academically and socially at the highest level. 
     
    One of our strategic priorities is to bridge the communication gap and involvement between minority parentsthe schooland the school district Our central focus is on the issues surrounding equity and SLHS students.  
     
    A partial list of accomplishments include:                                      

    • Creating the Parent Survival Guide (in 4th print, to download click link at page end)
    • Third African American Latino Educational Summit (November  2010)
    • The implementation of strategic measures for effective classroom visits

     

    To be a part of this important work, join our monthly meetings in a relaxed environment. We believe student success is all of our responsibility; therefore, all parents and community members are welcome to attend (future meetings and events will be posted on our calendar page).
