About Me:

  • Born and raised a Buckeye on Shawnee land, I received my B.A. in Ethnic Studies with a concentration in African American History from Cal State Hayward. I continued my educational pursuits by receiving a Master's degree in Consciousness and Transformative Studies from John F. Kennedy University. In order to continue to hone my skills as an educator, I completed a rigorous 3-year course with the Alameda County Office of Education studying Arts Integrated curriculum. Additionally, I am also a teaching consultant with the Bay Area Writing Project and a design leader with The Oakland Teacher's Guild. Using this knowledge, I strive to build a safe learning environment for all students while also creating liberatory and equitable opportunities for students to become critical thinkers, writers, readers, and speakers.
