Weekly Announcement  Health 9, Ms. Stanley, Week #11 Home Learning, June 1-4

Well, we made it, this is our LAST week of school! It is actually "Finals week", but no final group project sadly..it is best done in person in class, so instead,  I prepared a Final Reflection (Google Form) Required assignment! I added a few slides of some quotes to send them on their way, in lieu of the usual interactive classroom activity I do where theft all share their health goals, their gratitudes, and a few other things.

The Google Forms questions are about their experience during COVID related to learning and social, and a few regarding the health class topics. I was curious about their learning process being at home, on-line.

Thank you parents, for whatever you did to engage your children in learning during this unusual time, and juggle jobs, younger children, home- life challenges, all of it.  It certainly had it’s challenges, and it’s joys. I worked very hard to re-create each lesson to be meaningful, not too long, and pertinent to their lives. As always, I hope students learned to learn, not for a grade, and especially in Health, there are so many topics of pertinence to their lives right now, and in the coming years. As I say live in class often: “I hope that you learned how to be an advocate for self and others related to health. “That is my dream!

I wish them joy, success, and positive health in mind, body and spirit along their way, and certainly look forward to seeing them live again next fall. I need to return their About Me pictures! And, I owe them a LIVE real tasting of Green Smoothies! (I shared a Zoom video back in April in case you want to see it)

To Health and Wellness,

Ms. Kim Stanley
