ART IMAGE SEARCH for Linear Perspective.

Scaffolding from a previous assignment on perspective we are going to search for familiar techniques and charactoristics of Linear perspective, (that is drawing with lines and showing how objects appear smaller or larger due to distance form the viewer (you!).

    1.

Using your observational skills (looking) see if you can spot, from real life, images on the internet, books, or even your personal sourroundings(this is best) images or objects that size and scale change based on your visual relationship to that object.

    2.

Use your photo lens on your phone to look at diferent viewpoints to see if you can notice the perspective qualities. This is only an observation! You may record that observation by a sketch or any other form of notation if you like. Or just take a picture. The more you search for something specific, the more you will see of other concepts and techniques that you are familiar with from your own work in class when we did perspective drawings.

    3.

Searching through artists websites can also be a good way to find and see examples of perspective, as many artists use this in their landscapes, cityscapes, and general imagery. Artists on instagram and other social media are all great ways to see examples of visual perspectives. You can follow me on instagram ( #unadoveart). Here are some famous artists that are good examples of perspective. M.C.Escher, Edward Hopper, or any landsacape painters will also use perspective.

Remember this grade is PASS or incomplete, so just e-mail me a brief note of what you are doing or a photo so I can give you credit. :)

MOST IMPORTANT is to stay safe at home!  I miss all of you and we will see each other again!
