This year will be my first year at Roosevelt.  I have been a classroom teacher and an art teacher in the San Leandro schools for over 15 years. When I am not teaching art to students, I am a professional artist specializing in commissioned art.  As an art teacher, I believe that everything is “artable.” I even turned my car into a mobile canvas full of mandalas and stars! I embrace art education as a “Choice-Based” classroom, where my students choose what to create, what materials to use, and how to organize all the components.  One thing you may not know about me is that I am an identical twin! No, my twin sister is not a teacher so you don’t need to worry about who is who. :-)
