  • Homework

    Homework is an extension of the skills we've covered during the week. Homework for kindergarten students should take no more than 10 minutes to complete each day and is due on Fridays. 

     

    Homework Guidelines:

    • With the hectic schedules of families today, it is okay to take 2 nights to complete assignments if necessary.

     

    • If homework is too hard or if your child is taking too long to complete the assignment please communicate with me. Also, families do not complete the work for your child however checking it is a great practice to begin early.

     

    • Have a designated homework area with needed supplies and model appropriate work behaviors.

     

    • Set aside 20 minutes a night (with a family member or independently) to daily homework minutes. Your child is at an important stage of his/her reading development where it should be a positive experience in order to associate reading with enjoyment.
