    Hello! My name is Krista Sarkany and I am a part of the first grade team here at James Madison Elementary. This is my third year at James Madison and my thirteenth year in teaching. 

    In Room 22, we are enjoying a year of creativity and exploration as we build our reading abilities and math skills. We are investigating patterns in the sky, life in the past, the amazing world of insects, and so much more. As we build our class community, we are learning to use our listening tool and our kind words. 

    I look forward to sharing my love of reading and scienctific exploration with the class.
