Boys and Girls Golf

2019-20 BOYS/GIRLS GOLF

In order to tryout for golf, all new and returning Bancroft students must register at www.familyid.com. See the FamilyID tab on the home page if you need instructions.  If you have signed up on FamilyID in the past, do not create another FamilyID account. Just renew any information in your existing account as necessary and make sure you have checked B/G Golf.

Additionally, a copy of your non-expired physical must be downloaded on FamilyID or turned in to the Athletic Director, Sandra Hernandez, before the first tryout.

Once a student is registered on Familyid.com and has a current physical exam on file with the Athletic Department or Family ID, the student will need a "Golden Ticket" to hand to their coach for the 1st practice. You can obtain a Golden Ticket from the Athletic Director.

The first practices will be late March or early April. The schedule is not available yet, but the 2019-20 schedule will be similar to the 2018-19 schedule (see the 2018-19 season information below for what the 2019-20 schedule and season may look like).

Parent Drivers

The team relies on volunteer parent drivers to get our kids to the meets. However, drivers must meet certain requirements including the following: a completed Transportation of Students/Parent Driver Form; a copy of your CDL; a copy of auto insurance information; proof of a cleared TB test; and the passing of a finger print screening. Please let us know if you can help and we can help you get started, or you can find the forms and information on the Athletics home page.

Match Requirements

Competitors must wear Kaki pants or Kaki shorts, and a collared golf style shirt. Bancroft Athletics is ordering team issued blue Bancroft Golf shirts, but the arrival time may occur after the first match. Each competitor must also carry their own bag and set of clubs as well as have his or her own ball(s), ball markers, and tees.

Equipment Needs

If a student-athletes does not have his or her own equipment, the Bancroft golf team’s aim is to have bags, different size clubs (right, left, irons, putters, drivers), balls, tees, etc. available for use at practices and matches. Any donations of the above items as well as any training equipment (driving nets), gloves, towels, etc. would be greatly appreeciated. Contact the coach or athletic director if you can help.
