• Fine and Gross Motor Development Activities
     
     
    1. Fine motor skills are small movements — such as picking up small objects and holding a spoon — that use the small muscles of the fingers, toes, wrists, lips, and tongue. Gross motor skills are the bigger movements — such as rolling over and sitting — that use the large muscles in the arms, legs, torso, and feet.
     
          The work you do at home to support your student can be creative, inexpensive and a lot of fun!  The purpose of this page is to provide you with ideas of things you may choose to do with your student at home.  Feel free to alter the activities to suit your home, style and resources.
