Clever is the platform that students in SLUSD can access using their username and password.  It has the major apps that we use regularly in class.  This is a great way for students to continue to practice and get support at home.  

Every Monday your child is assigned a RAZ kids book to read and a reading packet to complete by the end of the week.  Students have access to their books from home.  There's also a Kids A-Z app you can download on your tablet or smartphone.  The teacher username is jfernandez26

Are you buying a new book for your child?  Here's a way to check the level of the book.  Your child should know what his/her ZPD book level is.  Just ask.  

A new word list is given to your child on Mondays.  They take the practice spelling test on Mondays and practice, practice, practice all week long and take their final test when they are ready.

Zearn is our online math program.  These activities are directly related to what we learn in class.  Remind your child to not go beyond what we have done in class.  For example, if we are on G4M1Lesson5 they can do all activities up to that point.  This is great practice for them in class and at home.

This is a wonderful program for Language Arts and Math.  After taking the Renaissance Tests in class, their learning paths are determined.  Be sure you indicate SLUSD for the School before logging in.  It's best to work starting at the Top Left activity and moving from left to right.
