Hello,  this will be my 33rd year of teaching- one year in Kindergarten, one year in K/1 and the remainder in First Grade.  My roots and commitment in this community are very deep. I am a product of San Leandro public schools. My children attended Roosevelt, Bancroft  Middle School and San Leandro High and I live in the neighborhood- yup, that is my purple bike in the hallway outside room 9! Over the years while living, working and playing in this community I have come to realize that  students are much more than their academic accomplishments. Everyone has a story. Every year, I am excited to learn about my students’ stories. We will ask questions, think hard, work together and honor multiple perspectives.   When I am not in the classroom, you can find me walking my dog, working in my garden, taste testing my husband’s newest crock pot creation and “talking story” with my family and friends.
