    About Me

It's not everything, but here is a few things you might want to know about me.

I graduated high school on an American military base in Hahn, Germany back in 1977. I attempted college immediately after, but a summer job turned me onto the joys of construction and I left school to learn how to frame houses in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado.

After a couple of years, I joined the military in the form of the U.S. Coast Guard. I spent six years learning about myself, the military, and visited parts of the world on the icebreaker, USCG Cutter Westwind (WAGB-281). We became somewhat famous when we visited Antarctica, and it was during that trip that I discovered American history and how little I really know about it.

I took my military money and paid for college. First at Laney Community and then to U.C. Berkeley. My senior year at Cal opened my eyes to public education in California. I was accepted to the credential program at San Francisco State, with a Middle Level Emphasis.
