    Hello! My name is Olivia Emerson, and I am proud to be working with the great community here at Madison for a fourth year. This year I will be teaching one of three 3rd grade classes.  Our classroom will be a positive, exciting environment where each student’s natural enthusiasm for the world is utilized to make every day exciting, meaningful, and jam-packed with learning! 
     
    My teaching career began after earning a Teaching Credential and a Masters of Education from U.C. San Diego in 2009. Since then, I have taught in San Diego, Vacaville, Cupertino, and San Leandro. The 2019-2020 school year will be my eleventh year of elementary school teaching. I feel extremely fortunate to have a career in which I spend each day doing what I love with people I deeply care about.
     
    In my free time, I enjoy spending my time outdoors (hiking, bicycling, camping), cooking, enjoying & creating art, and spending time with my husband, our dog Luci, & our two cats Elote and Juniper.
