Important Information for English Learner Families
Dear parents and guardians of English Learners,
We hope that this notification finds you well and everyone is safe in these uncertain times. Our first virtual DELAC meeting on May 13th was successful and the DELAC board and district thanks you for attending! We aim to make improvements for the next meeting to ensure more have the opportunity to interact and participate.
We want to hear from you, hear your questions, and your celebrations in this uncharted territory of our new learning environments. We have rescheduled our next DELAC meeting to June 17th 6:00-7:30 and will also hold a Q & A/ Zoom training meeting for all families and guardians on June 3rd from 6:00-7:00 pm.
What will the June 3rd meeting be like?
This meeting will provide opportunities for parents and guardians to ask questions and receive training on virtual tools to use during this session and the next DELAC Zoom meetings
There will be time for live questions and answers but we encourage you to submit your questions here, so we can prepare for the DELAC Q & A meeting on June 3rd.
If there is a pressing issue about English Learner matters that needs to be addressed, please reach out to your school principal or Joanne Clark (joanneclark@slusd.us), Senior Director of Educational Services. Additionally, If the issue concerns parental leadership or support you may also contact Eduardo Muñoz-Muñoz, DELAC president (munozmunoz78@gmail.com).

¿Cómo será la reunión del 3 de junio?

Habrá tiempo para preguntas y respuestas en vivo, pero los alentamos a que envíen sus preguntas aqui, para que podamos prepararnos para la reunión de preguntas y respuestas de DELAC el 3 de junio.
